Joey Feek finds solace in snowfall while thinking of baby daughter

Country singer Joey Feek had an emotional moment thinking about how her little daughter, Indiana, will grow up without a mom, but she was shaken from her grief by a gift from Mother Nature, her husband tells fans in a moving new blog post.

Rory Feek, half of the duo Joey + Rory, described a heartbreaking scene in which his wife of 12 years, who is battling stage 4 cervical cancer, looked at a note from a neighbor saying how their daughter, Scout, “can’t wait” until 1-year-old Indiana joins her at camp.

“Then suddenly her hands started shaking and she closed her eyes and started sobbing,” Rory wrote on his blog, This Life I Live, where he’s been chronicling Joey’s fight. He titled the post “manna from heaven.”

Between tears, Joey told him, “‘I want to raise our baby … ‘I want to be the one to teach her,'” Rory said.

“She was inconsolable,” he said. “I held her in my arms as she held Scout’s picture to her heart and cried and cried. I didn’t know what to do.”
